We want to paint it and drive it across the country in October doing stencil/art events, rallies, etc. We will also be doing a documentary to go along with the project.

How about this for a bizarre VW Bus (okay, it’s not strictly a Bus, but you know what I mean) The world’s lowest VW Vanagon was recently created at the hugely popular Bug Jam festival at the UK’s Santa Pod Raceway when Volkswagen parts specialist Just Kampers teamed up with talented artist Andy Saunders.
The “Vancake” stands just three feet off the ground but is fully road legal and was created by Saunders and his team in just three days! Apart from lowering the roof the team also applied a custom paint job and an electric sunroof.
At the other end of the scale, how about this for a compact VW Bus? Surely it’s one of the shortest in the world?
I’m sure this is old news to all the die-hard VW Bus fans out there, but I thought the Volkswagen Bus was so cool it deserves another mention.
Sculptor Lars-Erik Fisk created the VW Bus Ball a couple of years ago, which earned him a $20,000 prize from a local art museum. Apparently Lars has also created a UPS truck ball and a John Deere Tractor ball, but the article I could find featured a small image of the UPS ball.
Check out this excellent blog post for more information about Lars and his custom work.
