Received a very cool pottery money box today as a birthday gift from my mum; she always manages to find the perfect present and this one is no exception!
The hand painted Cymru Camper is about 9″ long, 4.5″ wide and 5″ tall and comes complete with a sweet red and green surfboard on the roof which just happens to be where the slot is located to pop in all the coins for my Bus Fund!
I think the Bus originated from the excellent “Shop In The Clouds” web site which sells all kinds of cool clothing, gifts and jewellery; all with a Welsh theme of course!
It’s almost that time when the kids go back to school, and what better way to send them off with a brand new shoulder bag, pencil case and wallet from Urchin!
The canvas shoulder bag is a cool sand color featuring the iconic VW Bus on the front and would make a great school bag.
There’s also a matching canvas pencil case with retro camper van design and of course to complete the collection, add a VW themed canvas wallet large enough to hold all the lunch money you can give them!
Current prices:
Camper Van Bag £10.99
Camper Van Pencil Case £4.99
Camper Van Wallet £4.99
How about this for a simple way to transform a room?! A totally unique and unusual Volkswagen gift which is guaranteed to get noticed by all who enter the room!
Installs quickly and easily in minutes and sure to be a talking point at your next VW get-together…
Note: Product is handmade in the UK and only suitable for use in the country of manufacture.
Just found another unique Volkswagen Bus product over at the wonderful Lazybone web site. It seems one of the latest crazes in the home computer world is the huge range of USB memory sticks available on the market and the VW Bus stick is sure to be a winner.
The majority of “novelty” memory sticks are made of plastic which in my opinion makes them look cheap and more of a toy than a useful took. Not so the VW Bus stick - these memory sticks are die cast and definitely a nice accessory to own. The lights will even flicker on and off when the unit’s plugged in and receiving data!
At just 256MB, storage capacity isn’t great , but is just enough to hold those essential files needed for everyday activities. The VW Bus is priced at $29.58, available in either Red or Green and comes complete with USB extension cable.
Kapowgifts, in operation since 1999, have a great selection of Volkswagen gifts and novelties including t-shirts, mugs, badges, bags, coasters and more.
One of my favorites is the Haynes retro-styled alarm clock based on the classic VW Transporter car manual design.
Priced at just £9.99 (approx. $19.50), the clock offers great value for money. Check out some of the other Volkswagen themed products available here.
SoundWagon is the world’s smallest portable record player. The neat thing is the stylus on wheels is actually a model Volkswagen Bus!

For a fantastically in depth look at this amazing model, check out the eight and a half minute long video review over at The Car Room - it was enough for me to hunt around online to find the best deal. The 1:12 scale model really is a must-have for any VW Bus enthusiast.
OldBug.com also have a great review with nice commentary and associated images of the model. At the time of writing this post OldBug.com still have a limited quantity of models for sale for $200 plus shipping and handling. Check their review for more details.
Also, good old Amazon.com are selling the 1962 Volkswagen Samba, but you’d better hurry, there are only 5 left!
If you’re still in two minds whether to purchase one or not, check out the removable tiny lug nuts and wrench to see how much detail has been included. Very, very impressive don’t you think?
All you need to build your own 1:38 scale model of a Volkswagen Bus is a little skilled labor and some adhesive!

Talk about great service! I only ordered the Welsh Dragon Volkswagen Bus Wall Clock on Monday afternoon; the mail man just arrived (Friday afternoon) and guess what he delivered all the way from the UK? The Welsh Dragon VW Bus Clock….
I couldn’t be happier with the purchase. The clock was very well packaged and looks just as good in person as it does online and at £8.50 (approx. $17.00) exclusive of VAT outside the EU it’s a bargain!
If this were an eBay sale I’d be heading over to their site to leave positive feedback for the product and the service received. Unfortunately I can’t do that so hopefully this blog post will help spread the word about Signs-Unique and their great range of products.
BusSelecta.com has been around for several years, but it’s still a fun way to spend a few minutes if you’ve got nothing better to do…
You start with a blank shell of a vehicle before choosing one of the following three models; Splitscreen, Barndoor or Bay Window.
Once you’ve decided on a model, choose from six different suspension heights and a huge array of wheels and tires.
Your Bus should now be starting to come together, but you still have to choose a color scheme and pick out some Volkswagen accessories; the sunroof is a must-have by the way!
So, hours of fun for everyone and there’s even a nifty little print button if you want to put your masterpiece on display.
